“And if you have five seconds to spare, I’ll tell you the story of my life.”

Former Smiths frontman, Morrissey has finished the first draft of the long-awaited Mozography. Weighing in at over 200,000 words, the epic tome is in search of an editor and publisher to whip it into shape.

“I’d like it to go to Penguin, but only if they published it as a Classic,” Morrissey told Radio 4’s Front Row. “I can’t see why not – a contemporary Penguin Classic. When you consider what really hits print these days and when you look at the autobiographies and how they are sold, most of it is appalling. It’s a publishing event, not a literary event.”

Morrissey has been working on his memoirs for the past three years and hopes to have the book published in 2012. For those of you who can’t wait for the book, The Very Best of Morrissey will be released on Monday.
